He’s looking for love. She’s looking for trouble…

As a successful doctor and weekend cowboy, Chase Cooper enjoys a full life with plenty of female company. But lately, something hasn’t felt right. He’s been distracted. Antsy. Damn it, he’s been lonely. With an eye on settling down with a nice girl, Coop invites his high school best friend down to his ranch to see if maybe she’s the one for him…

Instead, her twin sister shows up. The one who loathes him.

Julia Blair is already halfway to Coop’s ranch when she learns the invitation wasn’t for her, but her vivacious twin sister. She has two choices: slink back home, or see just how far this farce will go. One glance at hotter-than-sin Coop, and she knows she’s playing a dangerously hot game. Because what this cowboy wants, this cowboy gets…

Previously released on Entangled’s Flaunt imprint as Cowboy’s Way – November 2013 and has been enhanced with new material.

Warm hands gripped her shoulders to spin her around. She opened her eyes and wished she hadn’t. When her glance locked on his magnificent baby blues, there was no stopping her knees from wobbling. He pulled her closer until their groins meshed, and she could feel every striated muscle in his rock-hard body, specifically the one between his legs as it pressed against her.
She melted into his body, which could satisfy the most insatiable. What would it be like to have his work-roughened hands all over her, removing her clothes and touching her in the most erotic ways? Her lids fell shut as myriad sinful thoughts tormented her suddenly overactive libido.
“Hey, are you okay?” he asked again.
His voice jostled her back to reality, and she remembered it was Mari he’d been waiting for under that oak tree, not her nerdy sister Julia. And the truth was, she wasn’t about to offer herself to a man who didn’t want her, no matter how much her body begged her to do just that.
Julia called on every ounce of strength she possessed, marshaled her wayward thoughts, and forced her voice to work, but for the first time in her life, words failed her. “I…uh…thirsty.”
He gestured with a nod over his shoulder, and genuine concern laced his voice when he said, “Come on. It’s scorching out here. Let’s go inside for a cold drink.”
Julia gave a quick shake of her head, and her voice came out far too breathy for her liking. “No. I should probably go.”
Something that resembled heat flashed in his eyes, and it was all she could do to ignore the hunger bombarding her hormones. “Where?” he asked as they both watched the plane take to the sky. His sexy voice left her warm, wanting, and detesting him as much as she detested her traitorous body.
    “Oh God,” she croaked out.
As she stared into his bedroom blues, another shudder ran through her, and she briefly wondered if she’d read him wrong. Maybe he didn’t know the nerdy twin had boarded the plane. Then another more devious thought hit. If he didn’t know, did she have it in her to pretend she was her sister? Just for one glorious week? Talk about the perfect opportunity to walk in her sister’s shoes. As her mind warmed to the idea and her body stirred from his touch, she brushed her tongue over her lips and thought about where such a deceitful little lie would land her.
    Right in his bed.

Author interview

I'm delighted to have Cathryn join me to anwer a few questions for the blog. Please give her a very warm welcome ...

Thank you for having me here today!

Where are you from?
I’m a Canadian girl and live in Nova Scotia, surrounded by the majestic Atlantic Ocean.

Tell us your latest news?
I’m super excited to say that I, along with three fabulous writers, put together a medical series for Entangled Publishing and they loved it! I’m can’t wait to to write my book which is tentatively titled, House Calls.

(Deanna): Ooooh! A medical series. Love! I've recently discovered medical romances through Harlequin Medical and I love them. I get to read romance and learn a little about medicine too. Win!

When and why did you begin writing?
I began writing many years ago when my husband, a meteorologist was stationed up north, population 800. I read a lot and when I ran out of books I decided to try my hand at writing one.  I put writing on the back burner after my kids were born and when they went off to school, I picked it up again and began to get serious.

(Deanna): And let me say, I'm glad you did. I've been a fan since the Pleasure Inn series.

How much of the book is realistic?
My stories are fiction, but I think there is a little bit of me in every book. I draw on life, friends, etc.  Just yesterday I was hanging out with a good friend. Her dog had a serious injury and I wrote it into my book His Obsession Next Door.

Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?
I LOVE to travel and try to get to as many writing conventions as I can.  Next year I have a conference in Hawaii and Ottawa Canada! I’m very excited about these two!

Do you have any advice for other writers?
Write every day. Find a great critique partner, and join writing organizations like Romance Writers of America. Make sure your boat is filled with people who are helping you row, not drilling holes in to the bottom of the boat when you’re not looking.

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
I would like to say THANK YOU to all my readers. I wouldn’t be able to do what I love without your support. SMOOCHES!!!

(Deanna): Awww ... we readers love you too!!

How do you relax?
Outside of reading, I love to walk the waterfront with my sister. We chat, look at the gorgeous boats sailing by and just wind down.  I also really love movies, and my hubby and I make time for each other every night to wind down in front of a big action flick!

(Deanna): I'm a huge fan of the action flick too. Have you watched the Fast and Furious movies? Action, thrills and gorgeous eye candy!!

What is your favourite motivational phrase?
It’s only work if you’d rather be doing something else.

(Deanna): So true!

Cathryn, I've loved having you visit the blog and answer a few questions. Really enjoyed learning a bit more about you.
